Privacy Policy
Last updated October 9, 2026 (campaign tags added).
AEONIS LLC (“we”) runs Aeonis Rent Check. This policy explains what we collect and why.
What we collect
- Rent checks. The ZIP code, bedroom count and rent you enter are processed to show a result. We don't store them with anything that identifies you. To prevent abuse we keep a daily count of checks per network, keyed by a one-way hash of your IP address, and delete these counts after 30 days.
- Email for updates. If you ask for Pro updates we keep your email and the last ZIP code you checked, only to tell you about Aeonis Rent Check. Ask us to delete it anytime.
- Pro customers. We store a one-way hash of your license key, an encrypted copy of it (so we can re-check your subscription with Gumroad once a day), your plan and a masked email from Gumroad, plus the units you save (label, ZIP code, bedrooms and rent) and a monthly count of reports. Gumroad handles payment; we never see card details. See Gumroad's privacy policy.
- Your browser. The Pro dashboard keeps your license key in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in. Signing out removes it.
Campaign tags
If you arrive through a link carrying a campaign or referral label (for example utm_source=newsletter or ref=widget), your browser keeps that label in session storage until you close the tab. If you click a checkout button, the label is added to the Gumroad link so we can see which channel led to a purchase. The label contains no personal information and isn't used for advertising.
What we don't do
No advertising trackers, no cookies for tracking, no selling or sharing of personal data. Our host, Cloudflare, processes requests to deliver the site and may collect cookieless, aggregate page-view statistics (Cloudflare Web Analytics).
Retention
Saved units stay until you delete them or 90 days after your subscription ends. Usage counts are deleted after 30 days.
Your choices
You can request access to or deletion of your data, or unsubscribe from emails, by writing to ronald@aeonis.pro. California and other residents with statutory privacy rights may exercise them the same way; we don't sell or share personal information as those laws define it.
Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy; the date above shows the latest version.
